Trib Column from Eric Heyl in October, 2006[]

Yarone Zober: Old roles: Policy director, director of general services, deputy mayor and I believe he also was the guy who called the repairman when the office copier frequently broke down.

New roles: Luke Ravenstahl's chief of staff, office plunderer.

Zober last week moved his belongings into the spacious digs of city Operations Director Dennis Regan, who hasn't been able to make it into the office lately due to a persistent paid suspension.

Zober's action raises a question of significant bureaucratic etiquette:

Shouldn't Regan be able to concentrate on the ongoing investigation into whether he improperly countermanded a disciplinary action against a city police officer without worrying about Zober hastily dropping off the contents of his desk at the South Side Goodwill?
